These supplies will allow my students to engage in hands-on learning. The art supplies allow students to bring what they are learning about to life. Hands-on learning is an engaging way to learn. It can lead to increased retention, it can offer practice in problem solving and critical thinking and often results in a physical creation. When students are forced to do something, they are engaged in active learning. They’re practicing their skills and they’re putting their knowledge to the test. Most importantly, they are actively creating knowledge, instead of passively consuming it. I hope my students will use these supplies to build a love of learning for a lifetime. To learn that school is still a magical place where anything is possible!
