My students spend a huge amount of time reading in our classroom. As I watch them during our daily SSR time, I can tell how uncomfortable some of them are sitting on stools or in desks as they read. It would be awesome to set up a classroom reading space where they could read in comfort, as well as update our small classroom library with current titles. Practicing independent reading is one of the best ways to improve reading fluency and comprehension. Providing my students with a comfortable place to read and interesting titles will encourage them to read more.
