The document camera and markers will allow me to share literacy skills dynamically to large classes all at once. Students will learn important vocabulary, decoding skills, and literary elements and techniques. Students will be exposed to various genres of literature. Students will also have access to a small set of books they actually want to read and develop mindfulness and literacy during independent reading. Many standard texts are not appropriate for ESL students so this is really important. The stories here represent some of the backgrounds of my students, and can help encourage important connections and conversations. Thank you so much!
