If this projected is funded my students will be able to choose books from a classroom library of level-appropriate books and take them home to reinforce and practice the reading readiness skills they are learning in the classroom. With the books specified in this project, I will be able to build a classroom library which students will explore and be able to "check-out" books from on a weekly basis. They will take the books home and read them throughout the week to their families. They will also choose a book from their weekly selection to complete a kindergarten book report, tying writing into reading. I am very excited about starting the Take-Home reading program and presenting it to my students...this project will allow me to do so!
