Have you ever experienced the frustration of spending yet another hour on hold waiting for tech support to pick up? Your heart skips a beat when you finally hear the elevator music stop, only to have your soul crushed when the artificial voice asks you to "Please stay on the line. All representatives are currently assisting other clients. There is 52 caller ahead of you." I don't want my students to experience this. I want them to be able to diagnose and solve issues on their own. My students need to be prepared for the fourth industrial revolution - the one where everything connects. As I work with students experiencing their first activities in computer programming, it is important that they also get a sense for how the hardware side of the equation works on a simple, easily customizable platform.
