The use of a SMART Board will provide my students with better sound and visual effects during circle time. The daily use of the board will help them emulate speech through singing. The board will also help my students to express themselves through touch when they cannot verbalize answers and, in this way, gain confidence. Because two students can work at the same time at the board, the children will learn to collaborate. In addition, the duel touch option will allow the teacher to guide the child in the activity while at the board. The use of visual aids is an effective educational method for autistic children. The SMART Board with its colorful presentations will capture the child’s attention and thus help her/him acquire knowledge. I am confident that this innovative device will make learning a fun event for the students and stimulate them to communicate!
