My class consists of 16 wonderful 1st grade students. Each of them have different backgrounds, experiences, and abilities. Many of them come from low-income homes with limited resources. Others come from bilingual or non-English speaking homes which creates it's own barrier. Every student has the right to be successful and to feel safe and comfortable at school. It is my job to create a learning environment to meet those needs. Being able to supply my students with the materials they need to be successful is a top priority. If I can create an environment that removes as many barriers as possible then the sky's the limit for my students!
