We need headphones in the classroom! Having headphones in the classroom means enormous possibilities to enhance learning and focus. It can be noisy and distracting to students as they listen to audio speakers when we are using Chromebooks and iPads as a whole class. Individual student headphones will help the student focus on their assignments and not another student's assignment. Some of the programs we use like Lexia Reading Core5, Quick Voice, Imagine Learning require students to interact by listening and responding. Headsets would provide a way for these students to use these skills individually and to help with comprehension and increasing their fluency skills.
