In my classroom, we don't spend a ton of time sitting in rows or tables in perfect little groups. However, we do meet daily to read, explore and delve into books and it is my hope that wiggle seats will be a nice alternative to the giant, hard plastic chairs the students sit in right now! Research shows that incorporating movement into learning experiences increases connections in our brains! Learning to read is a complex job and kids are naturally moving and grooving when they are trying to break the code. Using wiggle seats will be a more natural way for Kinders to sit and learn!
