Lively and talented is what I find my students to be, I have been teaching in my school for 10 years as a 4th grade teacher, and just made the switch to K-8 Art! It is so wonderful to see the creative side to my old students, I am so used to the academic side of things this year I have been blown away by the beautiful artwork they have been creating. Students that may not have stood out in the past, have really flourished in the artistic environment of the Art room. We have limited materials to work with since we are on tight inner city school budget. The cost of this project is almost my complete budget for the year! This really means so much to them, the cafeteria wall in particular is covered with a strange cloth, that has been painted over with yellow wall paint in an effort to make it look...well I don't know what they were going for! It is dreadful and it needs to be painted over with a beautiful and bright mural that makes our children happy during their lunch break.
