I chose classroom technology because my department doesn't have much in the way of computers. Each class has two computers which have been in the classroom so long that they are practically dinosaurs. Because we aren't a center school, forcused on students with disabilities, our classrooms aren't priority number one. These tablets will help with student learning because they are tangible and they will appeal to the tactile nature of our students. Also, students in 2019, are technological by nature and these students are no different. They learn better through technology and being able to interact with their lessons. Tablets give them more than just pencil and paper content. With technology, my students will have a voice (some have speech delays and some are non-verbal) which will allow them to participate in classroom discussions and activities.
