The room dividers will help help keep my students safe in the class by providing barriers that can easily be moved throughout the room. The barriers also help students with autism by providing clear boundaries and reducing distractions so that they are able to focus on the task at hand. My students' success depends on the learning tools that I can place in their hands for them to explore. Their involvement in learning cannot stop in the event that a student, or all students, must transition to distance learning, and I need to be able to set them up for success. The hands on materials will provide each student with their own bin of supplies so that the learning will continue. Each student will receive a bin that contains sensory items, materials to develop fine motor skills, and manipulatives to help build math and reading skills.
