When I read this book, I knew immediately that I wanted to share it with my students. In the book Wonder, Auggie is a fifth grade student who looks much different than everyone else. As a teacher, we are always looking for good literature, whether we use them to teach reading strategies, historical events, or morals. It has such a powerful message of empathy and understanding. Everyone should read this book. I would love to be the one to share it with my students. I think it would help shape the people they will become. As my students approach middle school, I want them to think about their words and actions and the effects they have on others.
