Our class is in great need of books! We need books with a wide reading and interest level for all students to choose good fit books to read. My students love and enjoy reading and new books will increase their interest and desire to read more as well as increase their reading stamina. My students created wish-lists of what they would like to see in our library so they greatly hope this project gets funded! My students will be able to engage in reading and develop as readers in important skills such as vocabulary, fluency, and expanding their comprehension. All of these skills are standards and we model, practice, and engage in these skills constantly throughout the year in partnership, small group, whole group, and independently.
