My school just dismissed for the summer, but I am already preparing for next year. I will be team teaching a self-contained third grade class. My fellow teacher and I will have 30 students in one of the smallest classrooms in the building. In fact, it isn't a regular classroom at all...it was transformed from a computer class to a regular class because our school is overcrowded. Because it will be a challenge to fit 30 students in that room, we are trying to maximize space any way we can. Luckily, we have 5 student computers and a reading table for small group instruction. The problem is that the chairs for these tables are large and bulky taking up our much needed space. We would love to have small stools that could slide under the tables out of the way when not in use. This would allow more floor space between desks and tables. Please consider helping our effort to make room in an extremely crowded situation!
