This year, I have introduced book clubs. My students meet in small groups (2-4 kids) to read a chapter book together. I group them by their reading level and interest in books. They absolutely love meeting with their book club every morning. They have already read the first Mercy Watson book, so I am hoping to add Mercy Watson Goes for a Ride, along with Mercy Watson Thinks Like a Pig. These have been a hit in our classroom. My class cannot get enough of reading and we are in desperate need of more books. I am in need of multiple copies of nine age-appropriate chapter books. I simply cannot keep up with their desire to read!
