The items I am requesting are for the Drama Club at our school. At our magnet school, our academics are highly focused on STEM-related coursework. Though we may have great engineering resources, we do not have a stage. The school does have a black box theater, however, it is difficult to have a theater in the round for every show. Though we have borrowed a mobile stage in the past, obtaining a stage will open our young group to more play possibilities at our own pace. The Drama Club provides our students who face a STEM-heavy course load with an artistic outlet; this stage will support them further. Having a stage would also make the club members feel more invested and make us appear more established. The Drama Club is only in its second year and our only funding is as a result of anything we have raised as a group. Therefore, raising the money needed for a stage would take us longer than the club has been in existence.
