Many of the students I work with have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or more commonly known as ADHD. Having a flexible seating option would help my students maintain focus in their regular education classroom during whole group instruction as well as during our small group instruction. The purpose of these chairs is to be a little wobbly so students are focusing and using their cores to remain in the stool, which allows their attention to be on the teacher talking. These stools can be moved from desks or tables in the regular education classroom to the rug to help students maintain focus there as well!
