My students need a concrete way to count money and start learning about saving, spending and donating. I want to start doing this in my classroom to give them real life examples of things they are going to have to do the rest of their lives. I feel that giving the students ways to count and keep track of their money, they are gaining valuable information. I also want to start giving them some examples to practice with in my classroom. Like the allowance game, I feel that would be a great game to get them thinking about what they want to do with their money. I feel that kids today just expect parents to dish out money and they don't need to earn their money.
