I am a teacher that believes that individual student expression can contribute to fostering a positive learning environment that addresses the academic and emotional needs of each student. While some speak about getting things back to normal, I believe that this is an excellent time to make things better. My projects aim to instill in my students a love of learning and the ability for individual expression. This year we have all tried to make sense of this pandemic and the obstacles that we have had to navigate. I have taught and my students have learned regardless of the challenges we face. We showed up each day (virtually and in person) as we were with our unique set of strengths and limitations. We made and continue to make many mistakes. We learn from our mistakes. We become who we are meant to be.
