My students are inner-city kids from Detroit. Roughly 98% of our school population is on either free or reduced lunch. Our school, generally, outperforms the district in statewide and district tests. Students at our school are avid readers, we routinely read more books than any other school in our district, according to our Accelerated Reading program. My homeroom consists of 28 fantastic students.
