The majority of my students do not have access to computers or any kind of technology. Most do not have wifi or access to the internet. Currently my students only have technology class two days a week for 45 minutes. This is not enough time to help level the playing field in a technologically driven world. My kids deserve access and experiences like all their peers. My kids come into school without even the basic understanding of how to use technology and are often 1-2 years behind grade level. These chromebooks will allow them to use intervention programs and do research based project learning. As our society progresses quickly to a technology driven world my students will be sadly left behind.
