We are in a very digital world and students love technology so whenever we can combine curriculum and technology they enjoy the experience. My students currently attempt to make videos on their phones but the problem I keep hitting is students who don't have a phone of it has been taken away. By providing my students with ipads they can work in teams on bigger screens and use the video editing software to make the videos more professional and we can hopefully share out on YouTube and share information on Animal Science with others interested in similar topics. In this digital age when we have questions on how to do something the first thing we do is look up on YouTube and know we feel like an expert on how to give an intramuscular injection to a pig. My students could be the ones creating that video and sharing out the knowledge they have learned with others. As the continue to pursue a career in animal agriculture.
