Oxford Hills Middle School School of Rock is now in its fifth iteration. So far we have had approximately 90 students pass through our practice rooms, and all the kids who formed bands have played at least one show. We take kids who have never played music before and give them a chance to find out how songs work, learn an instrument and then play in front of an audience. Last year, we did this in just four days! The three bands that played were incredible, they practiced like mad and showed that they could do what they believed in. We have a bunch of musical equipment that kids can use, however there is always something breaking down and in need of replacing, so your contributions to our project are vital. Our students love taking part in this project, the enthusiasm is through the roof and the dedication they show to each other and themselves is incredible. Please help us to keep this project going.
