Art has been missing from the curriculum and I want to bring it back for my students to allow them opportunities to express themselves. This year I have students who are creative and interested in the arts. I have a parent who volunteers in my classroom who is an artist. I want to take advantage of her knowledge and expertise and we need art supplies. Please consider donating to our project as every child has a creative side. The supplies we are asking for include oil pastels, water paints, and pastel chalks. Every two weeks students will be engaged in an art project that supports a theme from English Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies. I am getting ideas from reading about artists, and Pinterest. I have an example of one of the art projects we did on my picture display. Art is a way to escape and enjoy life!
