Hands-on laboratory science experiences are critical to the learning process across all areas of study. With these materials I will be able to incorporate more hands on labs into my classroom instructions. The goggles, and aprons are needed to keep students safe while handling chemicals that could hurt them. The triple beam balances and measuring materials allow them to put the lesson into action. For example, instead of a diagram, paper, and pencil student can measure and weigh a substance to determine the density of the object. Research has shown that students who engage in well-designed laboratory experiences develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, as well as gain exposure to reactions, materials, and equipment in a lab setting. Sustained investments in hands-on experiences help inspire students to further their education and prepare them for their future.
