My class is most successful when they have the opportunity to create and work hands-on to explore the topic we are studying. The journal will allow them to express what they are learning and each STEM kit will allow me to have students working on various strands of our science standards, in a way that connects with their learning. STEM is extremely important to have incorporated into the classroom to allow them to be inquisitive, understand how things work, and become better problem solvers. This will allow them to be excited and take pride in their work, have ownership of their own learning, and spark a drive or excitement to continue to learn.
