I teach a Behavior Modification District Classroom comprised of the following grade levels: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd. My class is a special education program consisting of students with disabilities (Emotional and Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum, Developmentally Delayed, ADHD) who have been placed in this setting due to aggressive and inappropriate behaviors, toward school staff and peers. These students have similar individual needs in the area of Behavior Management. These behaviors have also had a negative impact on their educational performance. My classroom focuses on social and behavioral skills alongside grade level academics. These skills are taught using the Boys Town Social Skills with Nonviolent Crisis Interventions.
