Social distancing is a must in today's classroom. My kindergarten classroom will be full of students that are eager to learn. Learning boats will be a great way to give each student their personal space to work while keeping socially distant in the classroom. Providing a pretend and play environment through learning boats will give students the opportunity to stay engaged in learning while having fun and staying safe. My students need to know that it is okay to have fun and be engaged in an environment that is socially safe for them to do so. My students need to be encouraged to explore their surroundings without having fear of getting too close to others while exploring. Students will be able to keep their supplies near their learning boat for accessibility and use the lid as a table for writing and creating during lessons.
