My students need a larger classroom carpet that will be more suitable for whole group learning. The rug we currently have is too small. They are sitting so close to each other on the carpet and some students have to sit on the sides of the carpet. They are having a hard time seeing the front, transitioning between activities and sitting still at their small spots. Having a spot on the carpet for each student will help to promote a positive classroom environment. Sitting at the carpet and interacting with other students is a vital part of learning in the classroom. Having a new rug will help us accomplish our learning goals and build classroom community.
