My students range from ages 4 to 8 years old and require a variety of materials and equipment such as Tunnels, balance beams, and swing cups to not only inform them of the benefits of living an active lifestyle but to actually put their bodies into motion. I enjoy living an active lifestyle, and teaching P.E. allows me to help develop these students to also live healthy, active lifestyles. This equipment will enable students to mature their locomotor and non-locomotor skills in a variety of conditions. I will also be able to create obstacle courses with this equipment that will help them problem solve. Students will enjoy having new activities to play in class as well as it being organized fun for me and the students. The beams will be used to teach gross motor skills, coordination, motor control, and balance. The tunnels will be used to help build student muscles of the neck, shoulders, wrists, back and even the muscles that help our eyes work that are essential for schoolwork. The swing and catch cups is a great game that will develop hand-eye coordination. The Koosh balls will be used with throwing and catching exercises that will help children develop motor skills.
