Students today are very tech savvy. They are able to use technology in a variety of way, some students are even better at it than adults. By utilizing technology, I can better reach students of various learning styles. Using technology in the classroom, helps keep students engaged and assists with peer interaction. Technology also aides in assisting kids with responsibility and making better choices. I plan to utilize the Kindle Fire 7 in small group for literacy. Reading comprehension is an essential part of learning. The lack of strong reading comprehension skills affect students' success in school. Academic progress depends on understanding, analyzing, and applying the information gathered through reading in all subject areas. Having excellent reading comprehension skills is crucial. Having a good foundation determines your success academically as well as professionally.
