Currently I do not have enough graphing calculators to go around. Students often share with others or go without. Graphing calculators are expensive and most students cannot afford to purchase one of their own or bring one from home. This makes it difficult for them to learn to use the technology they will be expected to know in high school. In the next level of mathematics students are expected to have a working knowledge of a graphing calculator. Students will be more prepared for my class and all future math classes with access to a classroom set of graphing calculators.
