I have 19 very inquisitive and smart kindergartners. Learning with hands-on materials, especially in science, will enhance their learning. A five-year-old likes to touch, feel and manipulate things while learning. Exploring the subject of magnetism and its attributes will engage the students, whether in whole class lessons or in smaller work stations. I want to inspire our future scientists by engaging them in specific experiments and exploratory activities in the lessons I will provide using the magnets and magnet activity kits I am requesting. The addition of supplemental books will also expose the children to the science behind magnetism and how we use it in everyday life. Help make our class one that they can't wait to return to after the end of a school day.
