My students do a lot of activities with paper and pencil. These activities will be meaningful hands on activities that students can use during center time or for interventions to work on their adding, subtracting, and phonics skills. The Self-Checking Time Match-Ups, Addition Fluency Puzzles, Pop and Add Games, Operations Equivalency Puzzles, and Place Value Number Hunt will help students with their addition and subtraction fact fluency. The magnetic sentence strips they will be able to write sentences and put them on the whiteboard to share. They will be able to write with lines so that it can easily be read by other students. The math write and wipe boards will help the students to be able to find fact families and the different addends and sum for addition and subtraction problems. My students enjoy playing games and doing puzzles so these activities are perfect for them to see that learning is fun. They will allow students to work together and to be able to get out of their seats an move around.
The donations for this project will meet a variety of different learners in my classroom and do it in an engaging way. These activities provide pictures and models that are excellent for English Language Learners. The Match and Sort Language Quickies provide excelled pictures for students to be able to match and work on their phonics skills.The short vowel sort will help them sort the different short vowels and make it more concrete and visual for them.
When students are engaged they learn to love learning and want to be college and career bound. These activities will teach students social skills as they play together. It will also help my English Language Learners because they are visual and
