I have the opportunity to teach in an up and coming field, STEM! We are a project based classroom that range from preparing for a zombie apocalypse to determining what makes a superhero super all the way to designing a obstacle courses for a robots. With all of these amazing projects, sometimes a chair at a table is not conducive to learning! The students I work with are amazing, they have so much enthusiasm; so much so they can barley contain it! Flexible seating will allow my students opportunities to feel more at home in my classroom and safer to take learning risks! I ask a lot of my students and in return I have gotten some amazing things, but as a teacher I always want them to grow more! When a student is working so intently, but can't find a spot to get comfortable it limits the amount of exploration they can do. When you're solving the impending zombie apocalypse you need all the comfort and focus you can get for such an important learning adventure!
