I work at an urban school with many students living a lower socio-economic level. With an eager group of very bright and ambitious first graders, these tablets will enhance their thirst for knowledge Many of my students do not have access to technology at home and most often do not have any experience with computers or tablets other than with the computers at our school. It is my hope that the adoption of a digital learning environment will encourage student engagement, enhance our project-based learning opportunities, and provide insight into what the "real-world" will be like as they grow into young adults.
