Having a variety of books in our classroom library will engage students with reading. We need updated, high interest books to keep students excited about reading. These books will fill their just right baskets for independent reading. Having multiple copies of books available for the children will let them enjoy books with partners and book studies. Books go home daily with the students to share with families, therefore, having an ample supply of books is necessary. Working together with families will help grow life-long readers. With a better selection of fiction and non-fiction books at a level students can read and reread, I believe my students will grow into confident readers. These new books will help promote good reading habits throughout the school year.
