In our elementary music classroom we focus our curriculum on singing, acting, dancing and writing. In order to accomplish these tasks, I used the piano to accompany the students in every class. We also practice ear training, sight singing and vocalize before we start singing. Besides the classroom, our students get to participate in extracurricular activities, such as performing in school concerts and on field trips. For example, we have two school concerts every year and we also travel to nursing homes and children's hospitals to perform during the holidays. Since the electrical piano is a complete and easy instrument to carry around, I can always take it everywhere we go to perform. We plan to place one piano in our stage for in-school performances and to use the other one for the classroom and field trips. These pianos will not only benefit the students in my classroom, but will bring joy to those around in our community. These pianos will bring Life to Our School and our Community!
