Recent educational research has shown that when students work with and learn to solve Rubik's cubes their abilities in mathematical problem solving are increased. Studies have even shown that students achievement on test scores increases when working with Rubik's cubes. Schools across New York City have introduced Rubik's cube instruction and seen great improvements to their data, and to the confidence and excitement of their students. This project will provide my students with a class set of Rubik's cubes that they can work with to learn problem solving skills. They will have a protected time in the day where they have an opportunity to work with the Rubik's cubes.
