WCU has paired with the local pubic library to bring ebooks to the students. We now have access to thousands of books that we would not see otherwise. All 6th grade students will have an elibrary card to check out books from Overdrive. However, in order to read these books students need a device. We have Chromebooks at school but they are not allowed to take them home. 10 tablets would let students check out, bring home, and continue reading the books that they access at school. Students will check out books on the devices and be able to read them at home. They can use the library card to check out other books while they have the tablet and read to family or friends. We are trying to start a reading revolution.
