I teach math and science. My students have personal whiteboards, which we use everyday. In math the whiteboards allow me to see the strategies the students are using and gives me a quick assessment on the student's progress on each particular standard. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last. The students bring markers to class at the beginning of the year, but we seem to always be searching for them around November. In past year I would just purchase the markers myself, but this is my first year teaching science, and experiments for 58 students are quite costly.
