Having the set of Chromebooks will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. There are so many online tools that the students can use to help them with Math, Reading, Science and Writing that it would be amazing to have a set of five Chromebooks for just my classroom to utilize. They can do Math Khan Academy to challenge them to higher thinking and skills that we have not worked on yet, or they can use the online tools to better understand materials. Google Docs are available so that writings can be started in the class as we only have one computer lab for a building that serves Young 5 to 5th grade classrooms. We can also use various math practice skills for a math center, which would allow me to have activities for both my highest performing and most struggling students. I can't wait to utilize these items in my class.
