In 6th grade students are exposed to a lot of different articles with all different subject matters. This spring we will be focusing on some STEAM articles and learning about inventors. I would like to use the Desktop computer to create a place where students can find articles relating to STEAM that interest them and print it out with the toner. Not all the students want to read ALL the articles, so we create illustrated charts with paper and markers. The charts help create graphic organizers using art, literacy and highlighting science. It is important that students focus on what they are good at. I would also like students to create movies using the YouTube creator about articles, but first want to get the artwork down. It would be great if students can create the art on the computer also and show it through the HDMI cable. Teaching literacy and science with art and technology thrown in really helps the students excel where they are good at and venture into more reading then they would do normally.
