There are so many benefits of using technology in the classroom. It increases student engagement, improves student retention, and benefits a range of learning styles. However, my low income school does not currently have the resources or funding to provide the needed technology in every classroom. With this projector, students will be able to access technology and learn in a new way. There have been many times where I thought the use of a projector and speakers would increase the effectiveness of my instruction. I have come across many interactive websites that would really help the students engage in concepts. I have also wished that I could show my students educational videos that support scientific concepts such as life cycles of animals and various animal habitats. It is essential to use visuals supports to increase understanding of many concepts.
