My students need flexible seating options to help them move as they learn. Our classroom is currently equipped with 25 desks and chairs, a coffee table, two standing tables, lap desks, a large carpet, bar stools, and two bean bag chairs. The environment in our classroom is very welcoming and the students enjoy getting cozy as they learn. We still need other seating options to complete our flexible seating classroom transformation. I've already seen huge improvement in my student's ability to focus on their work as they're sitting in various places throughout our classroom. When I reflect on how I enjoy working, I always choose to sit or lay somewhere comfortable and I feel as though my students should have the same opportunity. We have a lot of options already and with your help each child will be able to choose where they sit and won't be limited to staying at their desk.
