Our Reading Workshop is an integral part of our day. The students look forward to reading books of their choice to put in their box and enjoy reading quietly while I work with guided reading groups. To be successful in reading, students must have available books at their reading level. My students love choosing books to go in their book boxes that they can independently read. This boosts their self-esteem and helps improve their reading skills. We are trying to build our classroom library so that all students have access to books that will allow them to achieve and excel.
