Students use technology programs such as Lexia and Imagine Learning to help them learn English. These programs have a proven history is catching students up to approaching grade level BICS and making progress towards deeper comprehension and advancement of their CALP skills. We also use Dreambox and Zearn for math. Headphones will greatly help us optimize blended learning time. We are in a large urban high poverty district, where resources and budgets are very tight. I am a first year teacher and the classroom is starting from scratch. We need quality furniture such as a horseshoe table and rug to conduct small group and multiple learning centers. We are a very diverse group of learners.
