Modeling in Math is a must! In the classroom, each student has a small whiteboard, a marker, and an eraser. They use these materials to construct concepts, to prove, and to justify their work. Since we will be having distance learning for the first two quarters of this coming school year, using a whiteboard and markers to write and show virtually what the students are thinking, sharing and explaining will be more efficient compared to when using poster paper and markers. This strategy allows other students to analyze each other's work, and make constructive comments and corrections if needed. When everybody agrees on the most effective/ acceptable strategy/ies , that's the time when we write them down on poster paper (anchor chart). By donating to our project, you are helping increase our students attention, improve their communication and critical thinking skills, and ultimately increase their academic performance.
