A majority of my students do not have access to technology in the home which hinders their ability to use it at school. My students have special needs and it takes them much longer to learn how to use technology. Chromebooks in my classroom will allow me to teach the students how to use technology for learning. My students will learn to type a paragraph and use the editing features. They will also use the internet to research a given topic and find relevant, appropriate information. Learning to use technology will enhance their learning environment, build their self esteem, and teach them to be independent learners. Access to technology will allow me to individualize instruction, so the students are able working on their level and be successful.
